Watch Hornets vs. Nuggets: How to live stream, TV channel, start time for Monday’s NBA game

Written by on March 28, 2022

Through 2 Quarters

Down two at the end of last quarter, the Charlotte Hornets have now snagged the lead. At halftime neither squad has the game in the bag, but the Hornets lead 59-58 over the Denver Nuggets.

Charlotte has enjoyed the tag-team combination of center Montrezl Harrell and point guard LaMelo Ball. The former has nine points and two assists in addition to five rebounds and two steals, while the latter has 12 points and seven assists along with four boards. One thing to keep an eye out for is Terry Rozier’s foul situation as he currently sits at three.

Power forward Aaron Gordon has led the way so far for Denver, as he has 19 points and three assists along with five rebounds and two steals.

The Nuggets haven’t been much of a second-half team this season, losing 70% of the time when they were down at the break.

What to Know

The Charlotte Hornets are getting right back to it as they host the Denver Nuggets at 7 p.m. ET March 28 at Spectrum Center. Charlotte isn’t expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn’t stop them last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.

The Hornets beat the Brooklyn Nets 119-110 on Sunday. Charlotte’s point guard LaMelo Ball did his thing and shot 7-for-12 from beyond the arc and finished with 33 points, nine dimes and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn’t a dominant performance, Denver beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 113-107 this past Saturday. Center Nikola Jokic had a stellar game for Denver as he almost posted a triple-double on 35 points, 12 boards, and eight assists.

Charlotte is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Detroit Pistons Feb. 27 easily too and instead slipped up with a 127-126. In other words, don’t count the Nuggets out just yet.
