With Davante Adams on the COVID IR list, the Packers are preparing to play Thursday night against the Arizona Cardinals without him. This is obviously less than ideal for the Packers and Adams’ Fantasy managers alike.
As managers scramble to the waiver wire to find a replacement, they’ll find no shortage. Six of my top 48 wide receivers in the projections at the bottom of this article are available in more than 40% of leagues. A couple, including Kalif Raymond, are available in more than 90% of leagues. You should not have a hard time finding a streaming wide receiver for this week.
At the same time, if you don’t have an IR spot, the roster crunch may be a bigger problem than the starting lineup. For instance, while I know you don’t want to start Tyler Lockett this week, I would rather start Lockett than drop him for a one-week Adams replacement.
If you don’t have a roster crunch, and you don’t have a need for a starter this week, then you really need to check out the top stash option, Kadarius Toney. Despite Toney’s spectacular performance he’s now available in more than a third of CBS leagues, and more than half of leagues on Yahoo and ESPN.

Week 8 WR Preview
The following players are not being projected to play Week 8 at this time. Here’s what it means:
WR Preview
Numbers to Know
19.3% — Target share for the Packers’ No. 1 WR in the six games Davante Adams has missed since the start of 2019.
33.8% — Target share for Davante Adams, only Deebo Samuel has seen a bigger share this year.
49.0% — Air yards share for Brandin Cooks, the highest share in the league.
754 — Receiving yards for Ja’Marr Chase in his first seven NFL games, 100 yards more than any other player.
17.3 — aDOT for Emmanuel Sanders, the highest in the league amongst players with at least 20 targets.
36.7% — Catch rate for Robby Anderson. I’m done hoping he snaps out of it.
2 — Tyler Lockett has two catches in each of Geno Smith’s starts. He’s not a drop, but it’s hard to start him.
